Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four traits: whoever possesses them is a pure hypocrite, and whoever possesses one of them has in him a trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he is entrusted, he betrays; when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a covenant, he acts treacherously; and when he disputes, he behaves wickedly." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
