Riyad Al Salihin

Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a servant curses something, the curse ascends to the sky, but the gates of the sky are shut against it; then it descends to the earth, but its gates are shut against it; then it turns right and left, and when it finds no way through, it returns to the one who was cursed—if he is deserving of it; otherwise it returns to the one who uttered it." Reported by Abu Dawud.
