عَنْ جَرِير رضي اللّه عنْهُ قَالَ: سألْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم عَنْ نَظَرِ الفجأةِ فَقَال: «اصْرِفْ بصَرَك» رواه مسلم.
Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the sudden glance, and he said: "Turn your gaze away." Reported by Muslim.
الشرح · explanation
الفجأة: أي البغتة من غير قصد لها.
"The sudden glance (al-fuja'ah)": that is, [what happens] unexpectedly, without intending it.
