عن بُريْدةَ رضي اللّه عنْهُ قَالَ: قَال رسُول اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «حُرْمةُ نِساءِ المُجاهِدِينَ علَى الْقَاعِدِينَ كَحُرْمةِ أمهاتِهمْ، ما مِنْ رجُل مِنْ الْقَاعِدِين يخْلُفُ رجُلًا مِنَ المُجاهدينَ في أهلِهِ، فَيَخُونُهُ فِيهِم إلّا وقَف لهُ يَوْم الْقِيامةِ، فَيأخُذُ مِن حسَناتِهِ ما شَاءَ حَتَّى يَرضى» ثُمَّ الْتَفت إليْنَا رسُولُ اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم فَقَالَ: «ما ظَنُّكُمْ؟» رواهُ مسلم.
Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The sanctity of the wives of those who fight in Allah's cause is upon those who stay behind like the sanctity of their own mothers. There is no man among those who stay behind who takes the place of one of the fighters with respect to his family and then betrays him regarding them, except that [the fighter] will be made to stand before him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will take from his good deeds whatever he wishes until he is satisfied." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to us and said: "So what do you think?" Reported by Muslim.

يخلف رجلًا من المجاهدين في أهله: أي يقوم عنه بحوائجهم.
"Takes the place of one of the fighters with respect to his family": that is, he sees to their needs on his behalf.

الحضّ على التكافل بين المسلمين وحرص كل منهم على سلامة الآخرين. التحذير من خيانة المجاهدين في سبيل اللّه؛ لأنّ المجاهدين يقومون بنصرة الدين ويدافعون عن القاعدين، فلا يجوز لقاعد أن يتعرض لنسائهم بوجه من وجوه الريب مستغلًا غياب الزوج. يجرد المعتدي على نساء المجاهدين من حسناته يوم القيامة ويكون من الهالكين الخاسرين. حرص الإسلام على أمن وسلامة أهل المجاهدين والغائبين عن أهليهم.
Urging mutual solidarity among Muslims and each one's concern for the safety of others. A warning against betraying those who fight in Allah's cause, for the fighters uphold the victory of the religion and defend those who stay behind; so it is not permissible for one who stays behind to approach their wives with any manner of suspicion, exploiting the husband's absence. The one who transgresses against the wives of the fighters will be stripped of his good deeds on the Day of Resurrection and will be among the ruined losers. Islam's keenness on the security and safety of the families of the fighters and of those absent from their families.
