عَنِ المُغِيرةِ بنِ شُعْبَةَ رضي اللّه عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يَقُولُ: «مَنْ نِيحَ عَليْهِ، فَإنَّهُ يُعَذَّبُ بِمَا نِيحَ علَيْهِ يَوْم الْقِيامةِ» متفقٌ عليه.
On the authority of al-Mughirah ibn Shubah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever is wailed over will be punished on account of the wailing over him on the Day of Resurrection." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

That the deceased is punished on account of his family's wailing on the Day of Resurrection; this is understood to apply to one who enjoined wailing over himself after his death.
