عَنْ بُريْدةَ رضِيَ اللّه عَنْهُ أنَّ النبيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم كَانَ لا يتطَيَّرُ. رَواهُ أبُو داود بإسنادٍ صحيحٍ.
Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used not to take evil omens. Reported by Abu Dawud with a sahih (authentic) chain.

The dislike of taking evil omens, and encouragement to follow his example (peace and blessings be upon him) in not taking an omen from anything and being optimistic about everything.
