عَنْ أبي الهيَّاجِ حَيَّانَ بنِ حُصَينٍ قَالَ: قال لي عَليُّ بن أبي طَالِبٍ رضي اللّه عَنْهُ: ألا أبْعَثُكَ عَلى ما بَعَثَني عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم؟ أنْ لا تَدَعَ صُورَةً إلّا طَمسْتَهَا، ولا قَبْرًا مُشْرِفًا إلّا سَوَّيْتَهُ. رواه مسْلِمٌ.
Abu al-Hayyaj Hayyan ibn Husayn said: Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Shall I not send you on the mission that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me on? That you leave no image without obliterating it, and no raised grave without leveling it. Reported by Muslim.

حيان بن حصين: هو تابعي من الثقات. طمستها: أزلتها. مشرفًا: مرتفعًا. سويته: أي جعلته مستويًا مع الأرض.
"Hayyan ibn Husayn": he is a Tabiʿi (successor) among the trustworthy. "Obliterating it": erasing it. "Raised": elevated. "Leveling it": that is, I made it level with the ground.
