عنْ أَبي هُرَيْرةَ رَضِي اللّه عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يَقُولُ: «الرِّيحُ مِنْ رَوْحِ اللّهِ تَأْتِي بِالرَّحْمَةِ، وَتَأْتِي بالعَذَابِ، فَإِذا رَأَيْتُمُوهَا فَلا تَسُبُّوهَا، وَسَلُوا اللّه خَيْرَهَا، واسْتَعِيذُوا باللّهِ مِنْ شَرِّهَا» رواه أبو داود بإِسناد حسنٍ.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The wind is from the mercy (rawh) of Allah; it brings mercy and it brings punishment. So when you see it, do not revile it, but ask Allah for its good, and seek refuge in Allah from its evil." Reported by Abu Dawud with a hasan (good) chain.
الشرح · explanation
من روح اللّه: مِن رحْمتِه وفرَجِه، يُرسِلُها ليُريحَ بها المؤمِنينَ.
"from the rawh of Allah": from His mercy and relief; He sends it to bring ease to the believers.
