عَنْ سَعْدِ بن أبي وقَّاصٍ رضي اللّه عَنْهُ أنَّ النبيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قالَ: «مَن ادَّعَى إلى غَيْرِ أبِيهِ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أنَّهُ غَيْرُ أبِيهِ فَالجَنَّةُ عَلَيهِ حَرامٌ». متفقٌ عليهِ.
Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever claims to be the son of someone other than his father, knowing that he is not his father, Paradise is forbidden to him." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

أنّ الانتساب إلى غير الأب كفر إن فعله صاحبه عالمًا بحرمته رغبة عن أبيه إما لفقره أو طلبًا لجاه عند من انتسب إليه مستحلًا له. إن فعله غير مستحل له فهو معصية كبيرة تستوجب دخول النار وعدم دخول الجنة ابتداءً.
That ascribing one's lineage to other than one's father is disbelief if the one doing it does so knowing its prohibition, out of aversion to his father—whether because of the father's poverty or to seek prestige with the one to whom he ascribes himself—while deeming it lawful. If he does it without deeming it lawful, it is a major sin that warrants entering the Fire and being denied entry into Paradise at the outset.
