عنِ ابنِ عُمَر رضي اللّه عنْهُما قال: قال رَسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «إذا أنْزل اللّه تَعالى بِقَوْمٍ عَذَابًا أَصَابَ الْعَذَابُ مَنْ كَانَ فِيهمْ، ثُمَّ بُعِثُوا على أعمَالِهمْ» متفقٌ عليه.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah (the Exalted) sends down a punishment upon a people, the punishment strikes all who are among them; then they will be resurrected according to their deeds." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
أَصابَ العَذابُ مَن كانَ فيهِم: أي مِمَّن لَيسَ هوَ على مِنهاجِهم ورَأيِهم. ثُمَّ بُعِثوا على أَعمالِهِم: أي بُعِثَ كُلُّ واحدٍ مِنهُم بِحَسبِ عَملِه إذا كانَ صالِحًا فَعُقباهُ حَسنةٌ، وإلَّا فَسيِّئةٌ.
"The punishment strikes all who are among them": that is, including those who are not upon their way and their view. "Then they will be resurrected according to their deeds": that is, each one of them will be resurrected according to his deed; if it was righteous, his outcome is good, and otherwise it is evil.
