عَنْ أبي هُريْرةَ رضي اللّه عنْهُ: كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ قَالَ: خَيْرُ النَّاسِ لِلنَّاسِ يَأْتُونَ بِهِمْ في السَّلاسِل في أعْنَاقِهمْ حَتَّى يَدْخُلُوا في الإسْلامِ. رواه البخاري.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported, concerning [the verse] "You were the best nation brought forth for mankind" [Surah Al Imran: 110]: he said: The best of people for people—they bring them in chains around their necks until they enter Islam. Reported by al-Bukhari.

أخرجت للناس: أظهرت لهم. يأتون بهم في السّلاسل: أي يأتون بهم أسرى مقيدين بالأغلال.
"Brought forth for mankind": made manifest to them. "They bring them in chains": that is, they bring them as captives bound in fetters.

تأتون بِهم أَسْرَى مُقيَّدين في أعناقِهم، "حتَّى يَدْخُلوا في الإسلام" طوعًا؛ فيكون إسلامُهم سببًا لهم في دخول الجنَّة وتَحصيل السَّعادة في الدُّنيا والآخرة. على كل مسلم أن يبلغ الدعوة إلى الناس، وعلى المجاهدين أن يعرضوا الإسلام على الأسرى ومن يقع في أيديهم من الأعداء فعسى أن يدخلوا في الإسلام وهو غاية ما يصبو إليه الإسلام.
You bring them as captives bound around their necks, "until they enter Islam" willingly; so their acceptance of Islam becomes a means for them to enter Paradise and to attain happiness in this world and the Hereafter. Every Muslim must convey the call (daʿwah) to people, and the fighters must present Islam to the captives and enemies who fall into their hands, that perhaps they may enter Islam, which is the ultimate goal to which Islam aspires.
