عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسيِّ رضي اللّه عَنْهُ منْ قَولِهِ قَال: لا تَكُونَنَّ إن اسْتَطعْتَ أوَّلَ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ السُّوقَ، وَلا آخِرَ مَنْ يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا، فَإنَّهَا مَعْرَكَةُ الشَّيْطَانِ، وَبهَا ينْصُبُ رَايَتَهُ. رواهُ مسلم هكذا. ورَوَاهُ البرْقَانِي في صحيحه عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ: قَالَ رسُولُ اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «لا تَكُنْ أوَّلَ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ السُّوقَ، وَلا آخِرَ منْ يخْرُجُ مِنْهَا، فِيهَا بَاضَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَفَرَّخَ».
Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him), from his own words, said: If you can, do not be the first to enter the market nor the last to leave it, for it is the battleground of Satan, and there he plants his banner. Reported by Muslim thus. Al-Barqani reported it in his Sahih from Salman, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not be the first to enter the market nor the last to leave it, for in it Satan lays his eggs and hatches them."

باض الشيطان وفرّخ: هذا كناية عن أن الأسواق محل المعاصي من الفسق والخداع، والشيطان يأمر بذلك ويوسوس به.
"Satan lays his eggs and hatches them": this is a metaphor that the markets are a place of sins, such as immorality and deception, which Satan commands and whispers to.
