عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي اللّه عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: «كَانَ خُلُقُ نبيِّ اللّه صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم الْقُرْآنَ» رواهُ مُسْلِم في جُمْلَةِ حدِيثٍ طويلٍ.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The character of the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Qur'an." Reported by Muslim as part of a long hadith.
الشرح · explanation
خُلُق نبيِّ اللّه صلَّى اللّهُ عليه وسلَّم كان القُرْآنَ: أي: إنَّه تخلَّق بكلِّ ما في القُرْآنِ، والتزَم به.
"The character of the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Qur'an": that is, he embodied all that is in the Qur'an and adhered to it.

The perfection of the character of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for in his conduct he was a living embodiment of the Noble Qur'an: he deemed lawful what it made lawful and unlawful what it made unlawful, adopted its manners, and did not transgress its limits.
