عنْ سعِيدِ بْنِ زيْدٍ رضِي اللّه عنْهُ قَال: سمِعتُ رسول اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يقُولُ: «الْكَمأَةُ مِنَ المنِّ، وماؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ للْعَينِ» متفقٌ عليه.
Said ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The truffle is from the manna, and its water is a healing for the eye." Agreed upon.
الشرح · explanation
المنّ: الطعام الذي أنزله اللّه تعالى على بني إسرائيل. الكَمْأَةُ: نوعٌ مِنَ النَّباتِ لا ورقَ له ولا ساق، يَخرج في الأرضِ بِدونِ زرع.
Al-mann (the manna): the food that Allah the Exalted sent down upon the Children of Israel. Al-kam'ah (the truffle): a kind of plant with neither leaf nor stem, which comes forth from the ground without being sown.

The legitimacy of seeking medical treatment, and that the water of the truffle, when used in a scientific manner, is beneficial in healing the eye of certain diseases by the permission of Allah the Exalted; this is part of Prophetic medicine.
