عَنْ أَبي هُريْرةَ رضِيَ اللّه عنْهُ قَال: قَال رسُولُ اللّهِ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم: «قَال اللّه تَعالَى: أَعْددْتُ لعِبادِيَ الصَّالحِينَ مَا لا عيْنٌ رَأَتْ، ولا أُذُنٌ سَمِعتْ ولا خَطَرَ علَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ، واقْرؤُوا إِنْ شِئتُمْ: فَلا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ ما أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جزَاءً بِما كَانُوا يعْملُونَ.[السجدة: ١٧] متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah the Exalted said: 'I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived.' Recite, if you wish: 'And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for the eyes as a reward for what they used to do.' [Surah al-Sajdah: 17]" Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

"I have prepared": I have made ready. "Nor has it conceived": nor has it passed [through the mind].

الإيمانُ بالجنّة والنار، وأنّهما المآل الأبدي للخلق، فالجنّة دار النعيم التي أعدَّها اللّه للمؤمنين المُتقين الذين آمنوا بما أوجَب اللّه عليهم الإيمان به، وقاموا بطاعة اللّه ورسوله، مخلصين للّه، مُتَّبعين لرسوله، فيها من أنواع النعيم ما لا عينٌ رأَت، ولا أُذنٌ سمِعت، ولا خطَر على قلب بشرٍ. مِن المبشِّرات ما كان يذكره النَّبي صلَّى اللّه عليه وسلم لأمّته من نعيم الجنّة وما أعدّه اللّه للصالحين منهم، وفي هذا تثبيت لأمته إذا عرفوا ما سيجدونه عند اللّه من الرحمة والكرامة لمن خاف اللّه واتقاه وعمل الصالحات.
Faith in Paradise and the Fire, and that they are the everlasting destination of creation. Paradise is the abode of bliss that Allah has prepared for the believers, the God-fearing who believed in what Allah obligated them to believe, and who carried out obedience to Allah and His Messenger, sincere to Allah and following His Messenger. In it are kinds of bliss that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived. Among the glad tidings is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to mention to his community of the bliss of Paradise and what Allah has prepared for the righteous among them. In this is a reassurance for his community when they come to know what they will find with Allah of mercy and honor for whoever fears Allah, is mindful of Him, and does righteous deeds.
