عَنْ أَبي مُوسَى رَضِي اللّه عنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قَالَ: «إِنَّ للْمُؤْمِنِ في الْجَنَّةِ لَخَيْمةً مِنْ لُؤْلُؤةٍ وَاحِدةٍ مُجوَّفَةٍ طُولُهَا في السَّماءِ سِتُّونَ ميلًا للْمُؤْمِنِ فِيهَا أَهْلُونَ، يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمُ المُؤْمِنُ فَلا يَرى بعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا». متَّفقٌ علَيْهِ
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the believer will have in Paradise a tent of a single hollowed-out pearl, sixty miles high in the sky. The believer will have therein family members whom he visits in turn, and they will not see one another." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
الشرح · explanation
الخيمة: أصلها بيت مربع من بيوت الأعراب. المِيل: سِتَّة آلافِ ذِرَاعٍ. مجوفة: مفرغة من داخلها، أي مثقوبة. لا يرى بعضهم بعضًا: أي في تلك الخيمة لمزيد سعتها وكمال تباعد ما بين أهلها.
"The tent": its basic [meaning] is a square dwelling among the dwellings of the Bedouins. "The mile": six thousand cubits. "Hollowed-out": emptied from within, that is, having a cavity. "They will not see one another": that is, within that tent, on account of its immense vastness and the great distance between its inhabitants.
