عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رضِيَ اللّه عَنْهُ عَن النَّبِيِّ صَلّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قَالَ: «إنَّ أَهْلَ الْجنَّةِ لَيَتَرَاءَوْنَ أَهْلَ الْغُرَفِ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ كَمَا تَتَرَاءَوْنَ الكَوْكَبَ الدُّرِّيَّ الْغَابِرَ في الأُفُقِ مِنَ المشْرِقِ أَوِ المَغْربِ لتَفَاضُلِ ما بَيْنَهُمْ» قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللّه، تلْكَ مَنَازلُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ لا يبْلُغُهَا غَيْرُهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «بلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ رجَالٌ آمَنُوا بِاللّهِ وصَدَّقُوا المُرْسلِينَ» متفقٌ عليه.
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the people of Paradise will see the occupants of the lofty chambers above them just as you see a brilliant star receding in the horizon, in the east or the west, on account of the disparity in ranks between them." They said: O Messenger of Allah, those are the dwellings of the prophets, which none other than they can attain? He said: "Yes indeed, by the One in whose hand is my soul; [they are also for] men who believed in Allah and affirmed the messengers." Agreed upon (al-Bukhari and Muslim).

ليتراءون: ينظرون ويشاهدون. الغابر: الذاهب في الأفق أي في السماء.
"They will see [one another]": they look and behold. "Receding": the one departing in the horizon, that is, in the sky.

أنّ أهل الجنّة متفاوتو المنازل بحسب درجاتهم في الفضل حتى إنّ أهل الدرجات العلى ليراهم من تحتهم كالنجوم. أنّ المؤمنين الصالحين يبلغون منازل الأنبياء بسبب إيمانهم وتصديقهم المرسلين، نسأل اللّه تعالى أن نكون منهم.
That the people of Paradise are of varying ranks according to their degrees in merit, such that the occupants of the highest ranks are seen by those below them like the stars. That the righteous believers attain the dwellings of the prophets by reason of their faith and their affirmation of the messengers. We ask Allah the Exalted that we be among them.
